We launched Ghost SNKRS over two years ago as the start to our family of innovative software products. The auto-checkout process on the SNKRS platform has evolved significantly since early 2018, and we are proud of the progress we have made over this timeframe to maximize our users’ chances to secure limited releases. As you are well aware, Ghost SNKRS has not received any major updates in several months. While our users have seen some success this year, recent anti-bot protection measures have made entering accounts (and winning) at scale progressively more difficult. Moreover, these changes have significantly increased the costs associated with preparing for these releases for our users. As a result of these changes, we have not collected renewal fees from any users for the past 10+ months.
The purpose of this blog post is to formalize our team’s current plans to temporarily discontinue support for the Ghost SNKRS application. Development and user support will be temporarily halted, and the activation servers for the application will be turned off. We are considering several options for continuing support for Ghost SNKRS in the future, including potentially including it in our full (“1.0”) update for Phantom [AIO], but nothing has been concretely determined yet. All existing license holders will be a part of whatever happens to Ghost SNKRS in the future if any such plans are put into action.
We know that some of you may feel entitled to a form of compensation or benefit as a result of our temporary discontinuation of the Ghost SNKRS application. This is completely understandable, and we have considered several options for upcoming compensation opportunities that vary slightly by each user’s circumstances. These options include future restock opportunities exclusive to Ghost SNKRS license holders to purchase Phantom and Wraith, and a full refund for any users who purchased a Ghost SNKRS license (directly from us) since January 2020.
None of our success from the past three years would be possible without the patience and support of our loyal user base, and we thank you in advance for your understanding over the past 12 months as Ghost SNKRS customers.
